ISL is proud to have a team of specialist facilitators with experience in life skills, outbound training, experiential learning and in combat. ISL combines trainers from prestigious B-schools and the Defence Services of India. Facilitators are Certified Paramedics and are the first in Asia to be certified by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), USA and Project Adventure (PA) USA.

Colonel Sathya Rao (Retd.) – Director, Senior Consultant and Coach
Colonel Sathya Rao (Retd.) – Director, Senior Consultant and Coach

He is a silver medalist from the Officers' Training Academy with vast experience in counter-insurgency and peace-keeping operations. He has great organizational skills and is known for his multi-tasking capabilities. He is also the Director Special Projects at Indus Trust and has a decade of experience in setting up International Schools and monitoring the operations of all Indus Educational Institutions.

He is a certified trainer from Project Adventure, USA and a certified executive coach from International Coaching Federation. He has excelled in sports and has represented the country in badminton. He has been instrumental in establishing the Indus School of Leadership at Yellagiri.

Deepak, a founding member of ISL, has straddled the design and delivery of leadership experiential programs spanning from sixth graders to corporate leaders. His real life experience in counter insurgency, jungle warfare coupled with his corporate stint helps him cross-pollinate ideas for insightful interactions. He revels in getting his team together to deliver form and content tailor-made to organizational needs without failing to compel audiences for an enriched living.

Amongst other accreditations he is a certified executive coach, an NLP practitioner, rope course expert, a mountaineer, an avid biker, and an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is a certified trainer on experiential education by Project Adventure USA and ACCT, USA.


Capt. Mohit Tomar (Retd.) - Leadership Trainer
Capt. Mohit Tomar (Retd.) - Leadership Trainer

An ex-Army officer and an IIM alumnus, with a diverse experience ranging from military to corporate. As a Leadership trainer and an Inspirational speaker, he lives his cause of unlocking human potential by weaving his innovative techniques and vast experience into his training programs. His book, ‘When Journey Becomes the Goal” is one of the bestsellers on amazon.

He is Level I certified by ACCT, USA for conducting Challenge Course programs, by Project Adventure, USA, in advanced facilitation for portable adventure, and by MDIS, Singapore in ‘Train the Trainer’ skills. He is an avid mountaineer and qualified in advanced mountaineering techniques. When he is not training, he enjoys reading, running, and speaking assignments.


Capt. Supriya Patil (Retd) – Leadership Facilitator

Capt. Supriya a seasoned facilitator with vast experience in leading soldiers in arduous terrain and managing logistics. Having served as a training officer, she effortlessly stitches life skills into her programs. As a recognition for her grit and conviction, she has been revered with certificate of merit.

Certified advance facilitator by Project Adventure (USA) as facilitator, certified train the trainer from Bodhih Training Solutions (India), certified scuba and sky diver from South African School Her adventurous disposition has led her to accomplish numerous treks including the lower Himalayan hiking camps. Among other accreditation, she has successfully completed a course in parasailing and micro light aircraft from the Army Adventure Wing, She is a graduate in commerce from University of Pune.

She thoroughly enjoys wildlife safaris, nature walks and exploring new places and takes pride working as a volunteer with Bhumi (An NGO for underprivileged children).


Mr. Dangi Shailendra Singh - Administrator and Trainer

Mr. Dangi, with seventeen years of experience in the Indian Navy is an avid observer of group dynamics and team-building. He is a graduate in science and a post graduate in Health and Safety.

He is among the founding members of the school and is a certified trainer (ACCT, USA and Project Adventure USA). He has more than 1500 hours of extensive training experience. He is responsible for all the facilities at Indus School of Leadership.

Mr. Arvind Sherpa is an experienced and tough mountaineer with over a year of experience as an instructor at Tata Steel Foundation, Jamshedpur. He is a qualified skier, mountaineer, expert in rope course, rafting, kayaking and rock climbing. Amongst the many expeditions he has lead, the most notable would include Mt. Island Peak & Lobuche East in Nepal Himalayas with international clientele from Hong Kong, USA, and Korea.

Amongst other accreditations, he is a level I certified trainer for conducting Challenge Coursed Programs by ACCT, USA, Portable adventure & Advanced facilitation by Project Adventure, USA, Mountaineering courses from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute Darjeeling, Advance Mountaineering & Search and Rescue from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering , Skiing Course from Directorate and Mountaineering and Elite sports, Manali, Para Sailing from National Adventure Foundation, Parasailing from Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, Winter Trekking expedition in Dalhousie from the Youth Hostel Association of India Himachal chapter, Jungle Trekking expedition in Satpura Forest Range Panchmarhi from the Youth Hostel Association of India Madhya Pradesh Chapter.

Ankita with over five years of experience in IT and Networking and unmatched passion for outdoors, blends outbound learning effortlessly into her training. She had been an integral part of organizing adventure programs like trekking, biking expeditions, music concert for firms such as Active Adventure India P. Ltd., ADD Ventures Unlimited, Hansa Adventure Tour, India.

Amongst her credentials, Ankita is a level I certified trainer for conducting Challenge Course Programs by ACCT, USA and on portable adventure & advanced facilitation by Project Adventure, USA and a certified mountaineer from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter sports. She is a NOLS graduate of Trip Leader India course and has a B.Tech in Information Technology from Rajasthan Technical University.

She has travelled extensively to most of the states in India and wandered paths through the Himalayas in India and Nepal.

She is passionate about student growth. Her motto, ‘if you change people’s perception, their attitude; they will automatically change for their betterment’.

Praveen is a qualified mountaineer and holds certification in Basic Mountaineering Course, Advance Mountaineering Course, Method of Instruction Course, artificial wall climbing course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering Uttarkashi.

With over 4 years with Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, He has hands on experience in outdoor leadership programs with varied corporate and B school clients. With experience from Inme, Altitude Expedition Pvt. Ltd. in school programs and at NIM as a guest instructor. He is a passionate experiential trainer.

Amongst other credentials, Mr. Rana is a post graduate in Management from UTU Dehradun and is certified by IL& FS skills school, Dehradun in MASTERY Generic training skills program.


Ms. Jyoti Sharma – Assistant Leadership Trainer
Ms. Jyoti Sharma – Assistant Leadership Trainer

Ms. Jyoti Sharma, a post graduate in Business Management, has a wide range of experience in corporate sector and in outdoor adventures. Having spearheaded a business unit with RBS, for almost a decade in training, she can easily interplay training modules between a kindergarten student and corporate executives.

She is a qualified mountaineer, certified in outdoor leadership and mountaineering courses from TSAF, Uttrakashi and ABVIMAS, Manali. She also participated in All India Women Expedition to Annapurna Circuit, Nepal (5416M) and to Kharta Valley, Tibet (5340M), under the leadership of legendary mountaineer Ms. Bachendri Pal. She also co-led a mountaineering expedition of Indus International School to Mount Yunam (6111M), and has scaled Rupin pass, Himachal Pradesh which is at 15250 ft. Her experience in different fields brings wide perspectives to her training programs as a Leadership Trainer.

Ms. Tanu Verma, a Master of Business Administration, is an adventure enthusiast. She has wide range of experience in corporate sector and in outdoor adventures. Having worked with Royal Bank of Scotland for seven years, she has varied experience as a trainer, facilitating individual and group development.

She is a qualified mountaineer, certified in outdoor leadership and mountaineering courses from ABVIMAS, Manali. She also participated in All India Women Expedition to Annapurna Circuit, Nepal (5416M) and to Kharta Valley, Tibet (5340M), under the leadership of legendary mountaineer Ms. Bachendri Pal and and has scaled Rupin pass, Himachal Pradesh which is at 15250 ft. Her exposure to different fields helps her in creating a whole-learning environment and brings prudence to her training programs.
